The ELITE System: Luxury

Luxury is about the overall experience, with desirable components seamlessly incorporated into it.

Transcript:

Hello and welcome to another Elite Caribbean Vacations podcast. I’m your host Nelson Hollins, with Ultra World Travels. Thank you for joining me. I am looking forward to sharing information with you that I believe will be extremely valuable and beneficial in many ways. So prepare yourself for a unique and entertaining experience. And thank you again for coming along on this journey.

Continuing the explanation of the elite system from the last podcast. I will say that this system I created and which is mentioned in my book, is to help the reader understand what I do, why I do it and how I do it? I created what I call the Elite System, spelled ELITE. Now Elite is an acronym which stands for E for extraordinary, L for luxury, I for inspired, T for trust and E for extravagance.

So in this podcast, I’m going to concentrate on the second letter of the acronym ELITE which is L for Luxury.

Now you’ve probably heard the expression, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well be that as it may, luxury can also be expressed in a similar way. However, when you’re speaking of luxury you are probably aware that when it comes to luxury experiences, there will generally be a price tag that comes along with it. Now that’s not a bad thing. But by you being aware of this, you walk into it with your eyes wide open. What I’ve come to realize is that people may sometimes not count the cost as it pertains to travel in general but more so to luxury travel, I’ve noticed there is a Lala land if you will, that’s mostly because people may not at times, and this is not everyone but some people don’t go into situations with their eyes open especially when there is a cost involved. You as the customer will need to understand that when it comes to the types of luxury experiences I’m referring to, you’re going to have to spend money or at least be aware of the potential possibilities for the expense, especially if you want bragging rights.

Bragging rights…and who wouldn’t want to experience something incredibly unique, spectacular and outside the norm that not many others have experienced or at least not at that moment, like at a party and you have everyone’s undivided attention because you are center stage and everyone is listening to you…And you explain about the luxury Caribbean travel experience you just had recently,…the things you did, the places you went, the food you tasted…zip lining above the trees, in the Caribbean?

Which brings me to the first sentence of Chapter 2 that states, Luxury travel means eliminating all the frustrations covered previously. Which I covered  in the last podcast which was the letter E for Extraordinary.

Luxury Experiences and Travel Opportunities in the Caribbean are available. But in reference to luxury, I like to say, you define luxury for yourself…and then we deliver it! Some people only dream of butler service, a Michelin star chef to prepare your favorite cuisine. Now I love to eat and usually when you’re on vacation, there is a tendency to eat a little bit more than you normally would. Which is okay when the world is your oyster and you paid the cost to be the boss. French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mediterranean, Mexican. You name it, it’s yours for the asking.

And if you enjoy making a grand entrance when you arrive…private jet, private yacht, speed boat, helicopter or even by parachute. That’s what I mean by the world is your oyster and you deserve it. These type of experiences are not the norm mainly because, they come with a cost. Ooo-La-La, flop, flop, fizz, fizz, OH what a relief it is. That’s why in the book I stated enjoy with only the elite can expect. Luxury is about the overall experience, with desirable components seamlessly incorporated into it.

While preparing the information that would go into the book, I had a great opportunity to connect with Joseph Forstmayr, a very distinguished individual. He’s the managing director of a very impressive resort in Jamaica called Round Hill Hotel and Villas. We had a wonderful conversation and I enjoyed what he had to say. From being “the” place to be for those from British aristocracy to being the first prototype of a resort in which villa owners have shares in the rest of the resort and all its amenities on the property. I encourage you to get the book. And I believe you will enjoy what he has to say.

To wrap up, luxury travel can be defined in as many ways as there are people who enjoy it. Flexibility and choices are a big part of luxury travel. The ELITE system focuses on ease of travel and extraordinary accommodations, food and beverages. Review the sample itinerary I provided in the book and start envisioning your own custom-designed package for your elite Caribbean vacation. Don’t you think it’s time!
